Business Profile
Since 1996, Active IT Design, LLC (Active Information Technology Design) has helped many small and medium sized businesses utilize technology to evolve in their respective industry. We have recently relocated to Fort Mill, SC just south of Charlotte, NC. We continue to support our existing clients in Buffalo, NY but our home office now resides in South Carolina. Our main focus is on clients within a 50 mile radius of Charlotte, NC but work requiring more extensive travel may be considered depending on project type and duration. Our client base is quite broad and we have supported and implemented networks of various sizes. From small PC networks to 50 server, 800 PC infrastructures, we have the experience to support your business. Our specialization in recent years has been building solutions based on Microsoft Small Business Server and Windows XP Professional for companies with 75 or fewer computers. Rest assured that if it is a Microsoft product, then we have probably implemented or supported it before. We also have experience with Novell products, and NetWare to Windows migration. Owner Profile: Jonathan O'Brien - Systems Engineer Jonathan officially began his career in 1996 after finishing up a large Windows 95 deployment project as a contractor for a local Buffalo consulting agency. Jonathan is an extremely motivated individual and saw no reason to be working for someone else, so he went out on his own as a freelance networking consultant and later formed Active IT Design, LLC. In 1998 he won the “Outstanding Supplier of the Year” award from West Valley Nuclear Services Company, located in West Valley, NY for services supporting their mixed NetWare and Windows NT environment. Over the years Jonathan has proven his expertise by obtaining several high profile technology certifications and applying his knowledge on a daily basis to solve customer problems.
